Welp folks...I waited until we got the final approval to close from underwriting before I posted as not to totally jinx us...HOWEVER, we close this week on the home that was so far out of reach just weeks ago!!!!

I got the call around 6P EST today and upon getting the Underwriter 3 documents we will be closing on this Thursday!!!

Of course I have to thank this forum b/c quite honestly I couldn't have done it without your advice. A special thanks to the professionals that peruse this board b/c I REALLY couldn't have done it without you!

To those who are dreaming of that home and it seems out of reach...it's not, that I can promise. DON'T give up hope! UTILIZE your resources, that's what they are here for.

Lastly, don't be afraid to ask...the worst answer you can get is NO and even that's not all that bad. If at first you don't suceed...you know the rest.

Isn't this the best (and most nerve-wracking, all at once) feeling ever?!

I remember you answering me when I made one of my first posts on here*, not having a clue whether there would be any hope we could qualify for a mortgage... and now I too am closing on my first home on Thursday!! Like you I'm too terrified of jinxing it all to really breathe a word about it until it's a done deal, but... well, we came out of underwriting last week, our wire transfer is all set up for tomorrow (I wanted to do it a day early just in case they mess it up, so I have a chance to fix it!)... we just need to limber up our signing hands by 4:30pm on Thursday. I can't quite believe it's happening!

ANYWAY, that is all by the by - I just wanted to say, CONGRATULATIONS, and thank you for answering my question all those weeks (feels like forever, now) ago. Enjoy your new home!!

(*edit... wait, I think I do... just saw you registered more recently than I thought and I am now confused!!)

(and edit again... duh! I've now realized I just remember reading your posts a few weeks ago, in case you think I am a crazy person! But after all that rambling... CONGRATULATIONS, again!!)
