How will my new mortgage impact my scores when it starts reporting? Will my scores take a hit initially and then go back up?

Likely will take a slight hit initially, after a few months it should climb higher than it was pre-mortgage.

My calculator is saying I'll lose 5 points initially and my loan officer is saying it will then climb up higher than it was within a few months.
