I put in a bid today for a lovely home. It's the first offer on the home. Now I am really anxious about it. I really hope they accept my offer for the asking price and they pay closing costs. Wish me luck!

Good luck. Houses in many areas are in short supply so don't be surprised if it goes into multiple offers. Did your realtor do a cma for you? Did you read the condition report and plan for repairs?

Thanks. She said that houses in this range were in short supply. I am not familiar with the term CMA. It is the model home for the neighbothood, completed construction last November. It comes with all the upgrades other paid extra for.

CMA=BPO is what the realtor thinks the hose should sell for. Be sure and get an inspection. Even on new homes there can be issues.

^^^yes. CMA is Comparative Market Analysis which means your Realtor would show you the value of similar sold homes in the neighborhood (provide a report).

Congrats on getting your offer accepted!

Agree 100% about the inspection - even when new.
