Mortgage sold to PennyMac - that was fast

My house closed Mid December 2019. Well it didnt take long, my home is now serviced by PennyMac. Never heard of them. I set up account on line and auto-pay. House closed not even 3 weeks ago.

I looked them up online and called talked to Service Rep.

I closed 12/17 and was told the loan would be sold before the first payment is due on 2/1.

Have not heard anything yet, but they have another 2 weeks before I mail them a check....

I started with Chase in May 2014 and ended up with Pennymac in Sept 2014. After nearly 5 years I don't really have any complaints. The online assets have worked fine and I havn't had a need to contact customer service. End of year documents are available online in a timely manner and I've had no issues in terms of property taxes or insurance. I had never heard of them at the time, but my experience has been good.

PMAC is one of the largest servicers in the Nation, right now they're very aggressive in their pricing on rates and want the business.

Our first mortgage was sold to PennyMac. We had no issues with them. Once they found out we were selling and purchasing a new home they constantly called and sent flyers trying to get us to to use them for our next home loan. We just closed the beginning of December and have not found out yet who the loan will be sold to but I’m expecting it to be PennyMac again.

Welp my loan was actually sold to LoanCare llc. And based off the reviews Ive seen online about them its a bit scary.

Ours was also sold to PennyMac in the end.
