Approved? I hope so!

So, finally, on our third loan type (USDA Guaranteed-->Conventional-->FHA) and second extension, and I think (!!) we've made it through underwriting...I'm not sure but I'm super hopeful. I randomly checked my lenders' app tonight (of course after close of business) and it shows approved (screenshot below)...but I thought underwriting was still waiting on bank statements from gift givers so I'm assuming it's conditional approval based on that?

Regardless, we are further in this process than we've gotten prior and I'm ridiculously excited. Current closing date is August 14th but I'm so so hopeful we can close early.

This process is...a lot, lol. I'm hoping this is over soon and we can actually sleep through the night! Fingers crossed!

Well we're on final UW review and then we should get our CTC and closing docs. I can't even believe that we are this close...it's been a wild two months. Of course, it's Friday so I'm assuming it will be Monday until we hear anything further, but I'm really hopeful it's a fast ride from here on out. Fingers crossed!!!

Still waiting to hear something - anything - about CTC. Last we heard was that both RE agent's had to sign something (no idea what that could be) and then our file would go back to UW for final review and then closing docs would be drawn up. Our LO did also ask for, and get, our insurance declarations. To me, it seems like that's all good news and, I think at this point, no news is good news? Maybe?

I am still insanely, stomach-churningly nervous that something will fall through - at this point, is there anything that could derail this? We've been in super quiet period for months - nothing except paying our bills on time.

Our LO said we shouldn't be nervous but that was last week and...I'm still nervous. She also said she can't predict every snag we may run into, which I totally understand, but...shouldn't the snags have all be found and dealt with? She also said we're "smoothly moving forward" and she's "counting down the days with us" (I think she's tired of us, bless her).

Our rental is being sold and we'd like to be out before new owners take over and I'm just so worried it's all going to fall apart. I know from reading the forums that this is common but we really weren't quite ready to pull the trigger on buying. It was sort of a "Let's apply and see what happens" and now two months later here we are.

I've checked out digital closing site and nothing has been updated. I've checked the lender's app and website and nothing's changed there, either.

We've started packing but I'm still trying to not get my hopes up.

I cannot wait until this is over...lol.

We got the ALTA from the settlement company - which I take as a VERY good sign, lol. It's a bit less than what we were expecting, which is nice. We look on track for this FRIDAY and I'm starting to finally relax...kind of. We're in the stage of half packed and half not and I was waiting until I felt like it was really happening to start packing for real. I almost feel like I can start! We have until the end of this month to be out, so we have some time but my husband wants to be in the new place by Saturday night (which won't happen - we need a fridge and internet so I can work from home, etc.).

This process continues to be exhausting...I'll be glad to finally sleep when it's all over.

Hi @Anonymous - YES! We closed 8/14 and we were all moved in by the afternoon of 8/15. Since then, we've been busy with our jungle of a yard and getting all set up in the house - we're mostly unpacked, which is awesome! We also adopted two boxer puppies this past weekend! So...so much for that sleep we hoped to get after we closed, lololol.
