topic Question in Mortgage Loans

I closed. As a part of my closing I had to pay off some creditors. I came to closing with a cashiers check and paid off the creditors. My title company sent me the checks along with my settingment papers. I sent the checks off. Two checks were returned.

Can I deposit these checks? Do the creditors check to ensure these debts were indeed paid? Not looking to commit fraud lol

I would say that you should deposit the money and hang onto it in case it is asked for again.

I suspect that it will never come up.

who was the lender? or did you go thru broker?

Yes the loan funded.

Went through a broker who sold the loan.
