So I understand Mortgage lenders, among other creditors, use the middle FICO as the main FICO score for the borrower. But let's say this person has FICO scores as such:

EXP 741

EQ 741

TU 733

Then which number will lenders use?

The rule is if 2 bureaus credit scores are the same then it'll be the qualifying score that is used.

I think they use the middle score (regardless) to judge whether or not to approve you for a mortgage loan.

The weird thing is that ONE of my three FICO Mortgage scores (Equifax 5, 4,& 2) is completely out of wack from the other two FICO scores for some reason. (inexplicably dropped to 764 from 803 out of nowhere last month) 🙄

Both my Transunion and my Experian 5,4 & 2 mortgage scores are a rock solid 819 and 826 respectively. My spending habits or payment schedule haven't changed, and my overall utilization is 1% as per usual. I'm not sure what factors are at play, or why this one FICO score is wigging out, but I know it's annoying as hell !!! 🤬
