NASA Credit Union - Used Car Auto Loan

Has anyone had any luck with NASA Credit Union and car loans?

I was thinking about establishing a relationship with them as I don't see a credit union in Chicago that I am interested in.

Do you think I have a chance with my scores below?

Thanks Tuscani. I looked at local CU's (downtown Chicago) and didn't find anything I was interested in. I will give them a try in mid December after a couple of my $0 bal report so hopefully a little score boost before the holiday.

I was thinking about CCCU a couple of months ago but don't want to go through their lengthy process.

Thank you Tuscani. I'm about 30 miles from Arlington Heights. It's quite a way for me as I am in downtown Chicago.

There isn't any reason why I can't try them both though. Would you recommend that I go to my bank (BOA) as well or will their rate be higher than CU's?

I have access to my alumni CU (Purdue Employee Credit Union) but I don't know anything about them.

Any suggestions?

i was looking at digital fcu's website and they say they will actually do 120% of blue book for used refi's, might be appealing if you have some neg equity.

got ya, in that case justice is woth a look. i saw you're looking at a mortgage and they actually have a pretty good list of products in that are too jfcu.org if you want to look at the options.

I really want to strengthen my relationship with them and I've been a customer since 1999.

your scores are better than mine and all total with cars, cc, loc i'll be at about 40k w'them.

i don't know anything about thoer mort products, but in 3-6 months i'm going to get rid of my 9.65 no matter what!

i say explore all options, take the top two or three and let them fight for your business when the time comes.

A CU will almost alway beat a bank. I have a contact at MCU if you are interested.
