Not hard at all if you have cash, a little more difficult if you are looking for the seller to carry the financing, and a little more difficult than that if you are looking to obtain a traditional mortgage as typically there are about a 25-30% down payment requirement, although it's a very niche product so you may end up finding local community banks offering as little down as just 10-20%. Lots in subdivisions is what they are looking for, buildable lots, as lenders aren't too keen on lending on undeveloped wilderness.
