CA Called

A CA called on a Medical Bill. It was to be on my second round of disputes. So anyway I answed the phone and told them to send me a statement in the mail, she asked can't we discuss this now and I said no just send me it in the mail and I will look at it. Do I still do the HIPPA or can I just make a deal with them for a PFD?

Never make a payment to a CA on any collection over the phone!!!! Do not even discuss it with a CA!

Is this reported on your CR?

Do you know the provider that the CA is collection for?

Do you owe this provider?

If you owe can you afford to PIF?

I was thinking of contacting the OC to pay it off.

Are you saying that you already filed a dispute on this? If so the CRA might refuse to investigate.

I would start the HIPAA process from the beginning. Do not miss a step. After you complete all Steps....move on to the correct Scenario. Just remember that you will make payment to the OC only using the restrictive endorsement.

I just got the bill from the CA. I sent in the dispute with EQ so far. I was waiting for TU and EX to finish prior disputes before sending this one in. Should be within a few days.

Should I ignore the bill?

Send the other 2 disputes in?

Pay the bill?

Pay the bill to OC?

Ignore that bill. Keep in mind......Mail gets lost every day. Unless you sign for it then maybe you didn't receive it.

Wait until all CRAs complete their disputes. Always try to send disputes at 1 time as it is easier to keep tract of the timing.

Wait until any dispute with TU and EX are completed. Then mail it right away.

Each step is timed. You must wait untill all 3 CRAs complete their dispute before you can move on.

Thanks. It is tough waiting. I am trying, DW is getting frustrated over this ordeal though.
