I just found out DH's credit report shows three medical collections from our current provider.

CR shows the following:

One account with CA $192.00 balance - should drop off 1/2013 (was paid in full to OC 2+ years ago)

One account with CA $63.00 balance - should drop off 2/2013 (also paid in full to OC 2+ years ago)

One account with CA $0 balance - should drop off 7/2009

I'm not sure how to go. Am I playing with fire to do anything before #3 drops off on its own?

I can probably put together the cancelled checks and enough of a paper trail to prove these were all paid, but with DH's company changing insurance companies every year, and this mega/medical billing/6 invoices per visit per week nightmare billing system of theirs, I am leery, at best.

Any suggestions? We want to refi our house this fall and clearly have some work ahead of us. Thanks.

Please read through the "medical collections & HIPAA letter process" link in my sig line. If your husband wants to continue seeing his physician, using the HIPAA letter process will complicate his relationship with them.
