Med Collection Calling!!

So I have already paid the hospital for a medical bill that went to Colletion---Why did I just get a call from them today?????? I know hospital cashed check.....They didnt leave a message---So if they call again should I answer???? I disputed with TU and they sent letter saying they wouldnt reinvestigate because it had already came back verfied----Im still waiting on Equifax to come back with results-----

If account is paid, why the heck are they calling me?

Collection agency is the one called according to my caller ID--I didnt answer---I already paid the hospital, so what other reason would they have for calling me?

Its hard to say, but whatever you do, do not talk with them. Are you following the HIPAA process with this collection?

Ok. I have followed with this collection--TU came back verfied when disputed this last time around--And Im still waiting on EQ-----Im not sure whats up with TU, because they still have it as unpaid-----If collection calls again I will not answer, and they didnt leave a message----Hopefully EQ will delete it, then that CRA will be clear of any collection-

Many hospitals have this problem with the billing dept, however, in my opinion some of them actually try to get paid TWICE. You need to watch your invoices and payments. This is not unusual.

I feel sorry for people who have to go through this.

Yes, this is quite common. I have been working in healthcare for a long time and this happened to my wife after she gave birth to our daughter. Luckily, I was able to sort it out before anything bad happened.

Ahh ok, good to know. I am a Medical Examiner MD in Texas.

NOT a fun job, but someone has to do it
