Overall I like the site. I don't much like change, but the site now seems faster, and a bit easier to navigate. My only complaint now is that the top bar where it says "myFICO" and the five tabs to the right appear at the top of the screen regardless of how far down I scroll. It's a mental thing and I realize I don't need the whole screen, but cluttering up my screen like that is kind of annoying.

New Design?

First off, THANK YOU for helping me raise my score so quickly. The information offered by this service and the knowledgeable helpful people on the message boards has been a life-saver. My scores have dramatically risen over the past 4 months based on the advice of the product itself and from forum members. Any time they fell a little, I was quickly alerted and empowered to fix the problem. But I have a complaint (Just a tiny one!) : I don't like the new layout. It works, but I thought the last one was easier on the eyes and simpler to navigate and more intuitive. I filled out the little pop-up survey asking for feedback, but it didn't ask about the new design so I thought I'd just post my two cents.

The new format has only been out for a day (maybe two?) and maybe there is something making it slow on your system that they will fix. The new "look" contains new features too like the credit simulator. I'm still clicking around and learning the new features. Not to knock on wood, but it hasn't crashed my system and I'm using a 5 year old computer.

I agree! We should give it a chance. No doubt their IT guys are working on the slow/crash issues. I see this as a good change, as long as the score alert functions work as they should.

Thanks Mschellt. We launched yesterday evening and are working on fixing the glitches as quickly as possible. It's true we added new features - and three brand new products! Check out product comparison page (click on "compare our products" at the top). You'll see we've added FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring, FICO Identity Basic and FICO Identity Ultimate.

This new design is much slower and very cumbersome. I know new things take time to get adjusted to; but in my opinion, some things really need to be fixed.

Here are two examples for improvement:

1. FICO Score Timeline: Please make it so the "zoom" settings I have chosen stay that way. Even better, add the option to select "past three months - past six months - past year". That would be great! As it is now, each time I click to a different page the zoom level reverts back to a long history. This long history is not very usable. Those big yellow dots are an eyesore and get in the way of each other. Maybe make smaller dots that give you more information if you hover over them.

2. On the "alerts" page: Instead of just the arrow pointing up or down with the number representing the score change - why don't you show us the actual score? Give us the previous and new score right there in that row. Don't make us click that plus sign to see that info.

Thank you.

Of course the guide is update from 2011.

@Anonymous wrote:

Thank you.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. For item #1, there are some limitations with the specific library used to build that view so that may not be possible, but some of the filtering may be an enhancement we can add sometime in the future. As for your second item, I have passed that along to our UI designer for consideration and review.

I miss the "what does it mean to you?" link...It was a link that displayed my credit rating along side my likely percentage rate for a mortgage or auto loan. Has that feature been discontinued or is it in a different location?

That feature now resides within the Savings center: http://www.myfico.com/SavingsCenter/Credit-Cards.aspx?qsid=Cards_All_Site_Nav1 -- then click on Mortgages link in the top nav. This will show you the current mortgate rates according to Informa Research Services. This tool is also more specific in that you can configure it to the state for the loan's origination and a specific loan amount. I hope that helps.
