Well I was able to pull my current experian by using an old number from them, but they seem to have caught on and I can no longer start a new dispute or look up any past reports from their website. I hope they will let me pay for one if I was so inclined, but they seem to have pretty much shut me down. I am still using their paid service just fine that shows you a true fico score and a watered down credit report (doesn't show soft pulls as far as I can tell).

I recently canceled my subscription for Experian credit monitoring and came over to MyFico for about the same price. My Experian membership runs through the month so I still check it often. This morning my Experian score jumped up 29 points but it shows no change on the site. How long will it take for MyFico to show the adjustment?

Unfortunately myfico, is quite a bit slower than Experian. It could take up to a week for them to update your Experian data.

I have both, because I want to keep an eye on my Experian report for a while. MyFICO waits for certain events to cause them to report a change. Experian reports changes in reports daily, along with corresponding changes in score. So MyFICO lags behind constantly. Whether it's a week behind or even a month all depends on what's actually changing in your report.

For me, Experian's level of monitoring, for all three bureaus, for about 20 bucks a month is the dream.

I have the 3 Bureau monitoring here and the Experian watch. My Experian score has gone up 3 times in the past week. And I get regular updates with Experian. MyFico has yet to update once, and it's been three weeks. They claim that the update is initiated from the side of the CRA and not MYFico. I don't see how that makes any sense.

I have CreditKarma and once a week I log in and get up to date Fako scores for free. So if CK can scan and get current info, why can't MyFico do the same for $24.99/mth?

They could, but they have the score that really matters, so they are selling it. Credit Karma has scores that don't really matter, so they are giving them away in order to build up their membership so they can sell advertising to the credit card companies. Everybody's gotta get theirs.

Hey guys, MyFico actually updated from Experian about two hours ago. So it was about 24 hours behind on the update. I can handle that.

You can still see what your credit karma score would be with their old model... click on the TU score and It is in the archive, where they graph it and compare it to the vantage 3.0 score... The old "new account fako" score tends to be much closer if not the same as my actual fiko score. The vantage 3 is all over the place.

I actually only use MyFico for the forums, and use Experian to see reports on all 3. I have thought of considering MyFico, BUT I love Experian too much.

I just got this alert after applying and accepted for a Victoria Secret card,

"Alliance data issues private label credit cards for retail locations across the US and Canada. Brands include: J Crew, Pottery Barn, Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret, and others"
