myFiCO not worth it and customer service just as bad

Well,

This is just stupid. I got someone elses report for TransUnion posted on my account.

Called customer service and was told that the error was made from TransUnion.

B.S.!!!

I just called TransUnion and was told that there were never any pulls on me. They said the mistake was done from myFiCO.

Now, I'm on the phone again with MyFICO's customer service and the rep is telling me that there isn't anything they can do and will just refund my money for the TU pull, but cannot fix the report on someone else's file on my folder. ~DUH~ STUPID~ So, basically, I'm paying for a service to see someone elses credit file??? OH COME ON!

I get to see someone else's report. How secure is that??? I have someone elses report on my hand. NOT NICE. Could happen other way around.

I've been on the phone for past few hours trying to fix this. I'm just frustrated to tears!!!! Wish I never came across this site. It's really sad since the posters seems to know a lot and learned have a lot to learn from.

BAD BAD SITE. Really irresponsible and unqualified people doing what is supposed to be very confidential.

This is just stupid.... I now have been on hold for past 40minutes to speak with the supervisor.

HOW FRIGGIN HARD IS TO REMOVE SOMEONE ELSES FILE FROM MY ACCOUNT???? AND JUST GIVE ME WHAT I PAID FOR.

Well,

I just got off the phone and was told that basically there isn't anything they can do for me. I would have to wait until Monday so the techie has time to review my account.

In meanwhile, the thought of having my credit file on someone elses account to view is upsetting.

I have a print out of someone elses credit history with all the personal information now....

Funny thing is that this person lives 2 blocks away from my house. I'm going to go over as soon as I get off work and give her the file from TU.

I smell LAWSUIT coming down myFiCO way...

I apologize for my rant but people at myFico just pushed few wrong buttons on me.

Don't re-act negatively to this question as it is important: did that person ever use your computer or if not your computer, is there a possibility that your both used the same computer at one point?

I sometime log under DW's acct info by mistake....my computer saves the logon info and I don't type anything in user and password info and often don't realize what I did until 1) I see my scores and panic (sorry DW) or 2) I go to these forums and realize all of my posting history is deleted.

Sorry that I sound like a crazy person..I'm really not

On my Products page on myFiCO, I see 3 reports that I paid for along with the $49 service, $9.99 service for property information.

Out of 3 reports (tu,eq,ex), only EQ and EX has my information. But for TransUnion, it has someone elses information.

*Funny thing is there are few similarities between this person and myself. Both our names are almost same. Her name is Anna, mine Hannah, Same Street address number, Same City, Same Zip Code, but altogether different SS# obviously.

*No way that this person would have logged into my account since I'm at work and also I don't know who she is. (I will tho later tonite when I give her a visit with her credit file in my hand).

How pissed off would you be if someone showed up in your doorstep with your credit file that was accidently generated via online thru a third party? VERY VERY Ticked off eh?

On the lighter side of things.....

I don't owe $71,143 on credit card bills.

This is how much this person owes to creditors according to the credit report that is posted on MY account.

When I was going over this credit file, I actually fell backwards on my chair at my office, thinking it was my own. My next reaction was that this was the work of my lovely husband.

But wait... this is not my report.. I didn't pay off any Mercedez Benz.

People are strange when you are a stranger.

I'd be upset too.

Is there any info on that report that coincides with info on your report outside of city, street number? Last SSN four digits? Same original creditors? Lenders? Inquiries?

Gotta look at all angles including ID theft. Not saying that this Anna is bad or anything.

Also, have you pulled TU recently outside of today? Have you tried to pull from TU directly? If you have been denied credit from TU, you can get a copy for free or even pull once a year for free. It's worth a look.

Another possibility, along lines of ID theft, is mis-delivered mail. I get my neighbor's mail all the time. We have the same street number, city and zip, but out street names differ. I can only imagine, if they are bad in character, they receive a pre-approved offer with my info and they change the info on the app to get my info.

Anyway, I can't believe, no, I can believe but I'm furious, that a CRA is so lazy as to go with an address over an SSN!!! Just goes to show, this is why you have to check your credit reports.

What you need to do now, while you're waiting, is to go to TU and pull your credit report. I'm sure that there's a way to do it for free when you are afraid that you're a victim of credit fraud, but I don't know how they do it, and to me, it would be worth paying the $10 or so for your report. TU is very cryptic, and they like to hide their good links, but you want to keep looking for links that talk about disputing your report. This will get you to the FULL TU report, with addresses and soft inqs and all.

It looks to me like TU was sloppy and allowed your semi-neighbor's report to get on to your report. When you pull a FICO report, it uses the information at the actual CRA, so if that report is corrupted, your FICO score report will be wrong as well. If the TU report is completely clean, and the myFICO report is wrong, then we have a different problem.

After you pull your TU, please post back and let us know what you found out.

By street number I think she means house number. 1234 W. 2nd St, for example, is two blocks away from 1234 W. 4th St., and has the same "street number."

It will be ok, all it will take is a little patience on your part. At one point all 3 CRA had my dad's info on my report...we have the same name. They also had my twin sister's info on my report because they thought she was an alias and the SSN was only one digit off! After a few weeks, everything was straightened out. The crazy thing was that mine was the only one messed up, their reports were fine.

Hi, hannah, did you ever pull your report from TransUnion to see what's on that? I should have given you the link:

Just fill in your info in the blanks, and you should be able to see what's on the real report.

Just to repeat, FICO gets what's on your credit reports from Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian. If those reports are wrong, what you see on your FICO report will be wrong as well. FICO is just the owner of the scoring formula, and it crunches the data that it's given.

But if your TransUnion report is correct, and only the myFICO TU report is messed up, then we have a completely different problem.

Dear hauling,

My report from the TU is correct. My report from the EQ and EX are both correct.

What appears on my file on the myFiCO on TU is incorrect. It's someone elses report with different name and SS# altogether.

I have again contacted the TU and spoke with the supervisor. They DO NOT have any pull reports for me on Friday. I cannot open a dispute with them since my report was generated from a third party (myFiCO).

Maybe this will help to resolve my problem.

On Thursday, when I first joined myFiCO, I was able to receive only 2 reports (EQ and EX) but was "locked out" of TransUnion report and had to call myFiCO customer service to have it unlocked. I guess they needed to verify my identity. I contacted myFiCO next morning and gave the customer representitve all the information they needed to verify my identity. While we were on the phone, rep said the lock was lifted and I was able to view it right away.

I apologize for my rude posts but it's bit frustrating that I'm getting a major run around for something that should have been easy to do.

myFiCO is pointing fingers at TransUnion, and vice versa. I'm stuck in middle and have no where to goto.

Here's few things to think about.

1. I received both correct reports from EQ and EX

2. Both EQ and EX report were immediately viewable as soon as I entered my information.

3. TransUnion report was locked and I had to call myFiCO customer service to have it unlocked.

Sometimes it just take individuals to have conflict resolution abilities. Customers are important and they are the reason for business being successful. I usually ask the Customer Service Rep to look at my problem as solving their on problem. I usually get good results.
