I have been working on my credit since December 2007. I know it's only four months, and from what I've read on this forum, I most likely need to wait at least one year to see any changes. But, I've also read on some of the threads something about purchasing your score for a particular day and it raises your score. How does that work? Does it really work that way? I have not ordered the second Score Power that we get for free with our subscription, because I wanted my score to increase from the point when I got it the first time. However, there has been no movement and so I'm wondering if ordering that second Score Power will increase my score.

I was also waiting because I sent a letter to one of my creditors for an actual error the creditor made. They finally replied and told me that TU will make the appropriate corrections within 10 days, but TU will not send me a new credit report.

I appreciate any response.

Never heard that, I somehow doubt it. When you pull your own credit it is just a soft pull so the it will have no effect on your score. No one will see it but you.

No, pulling your score won't affect it at all. There are different ways that you can make changes in your score, the quickest being when you time your payments on your credit cards.

Have you read Credit Scoring 101 yet, especially the initial post? And the Understanding FICO Scoring board probably has a lot of info that would help. If you have specific questions, try posting over there, and members will be glad to help.
