I got my alerts emailed faster through EQ, but score updates were the same on both. Figure about 2-3 times a month it will check for score changes if nothing else triggers it. I pay by the year to get the discounted price. You will be happy with both. MyFICO explains a bit more, Eq was slightly faster to email alerts for me. 50/50. I don't think it matters much which one you get.

They both offer free trials to see which one you will like better. As far as scores. Once you buy all 3 reports from MyFICO you can figure the score changes will be the same almost for the other 2. So if EQ goes up 10 points TU and EX probably went up 10 as well. Of course if its and inq it only affects that CRA. I found that my 3 change exactly the same. When 1 goes up or down the other 2 move by the same amount. I only follow Eq now. The only time there will be a big change is if one shows a big change and it is not reflected on another CRA.

Many of us use a second monitoring service to track monthly changes such as a TC reseller. I personally use Privacy Matters 123 and got the 12 months of monitoring for $20 a year. They charge 20/month but if you cancel they offer the full year for $20. I also use TC directly as a back up. I probably have too many monitoring service.

And if you get a Wamu credit card they give you a monthly updated PFICO score for free when you log in to view your statements. They give you a TransUnion score. And best of all it's FREE.

Message Edited by ilovepizza on 05-10-2008 12:21 AM

Hi All..newbe here... Just curious, How often does your fico score get updated, and how can you monitor all 3 scores monthly(ie) which product do you purchase? I purchased MyFico Complete. Will I have to order it every month to monitor all 3? Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance... Best, BR

Welcome to the forum. There is no product that offers all three FICO score monitoring. Only "live" monitoring is Scorewatch and that has it's moments. As for how often your FICO score updates....it updates whenever a change is made on your CR. Keep in mind some changes may not cause a score change.

Good luck!

Any thoughts on whether myFico or Equifax Score Watch is better?

MyFico is $1 less per month, doesn't check the score every day, but does offer access to these helpful boards.

Equifax's Score Watch is $9.95, checks the score every day, has the same 2 Score Power reports available, but has no boards.

I and many others use TC (TrueCredit) to monitor our daily account changes(FAKO scores)...and SW (ScoreWatch) for a true FICO score to get general direction of our scores.
