The $8.95 one is Score Watch and that monitors your EQ report for major changes like new inquiries, new accounts, changes in account statuses, etc. It has its shortcomings in that it won't alert you to baddies falling off, for example. There's a guide stickied within this board that mentions what it will catch. As a subscriber, you get 2 free reports per year from EQ, with the first one being used when you first subscribe to the product. If you want to buy more than 2, then the price is $10.95 per report saving you $5 over the $15.95 pull.

IMHO, even if you don't like SW's quirks and having to reset the target score, etc., the $5 savings makes it worth it if you are frequently following your scores.

If you don't cancel, your credit card will be charged $89.95 at the end of the 30 days, and you'll get another report plus alerts during the following year.

If you go with the $8.95/month plan, you'll still get one report initially and another one during the next year -- but there's no initial free trial.

Does that help answer your question, mycreditsuck?

Being a recently new member, I decided to do the free 30 days and have it roll over for the year (89.95.) I mean, for $7.50 a month it is nice to have some piece of mind when I have concerns. It is a small price to pay really.

mycreditsuck wrote:
Barry- Which one would you opt for?

I would base it on how long you'd like to subscribe. I forgot to mention that there's a 3 month minimum for the monthly, but you can cancel anytime after that. So, if you don't think you want it for a full year, I'd suggest the monthly plan. If you want it for a full year, it's cheaper in the long run to go with the annual.
