We've added a free report to your Score Watch account so you can pull a new EQ report through SW and see if it shows on the EQ-only report that's sent to myFICO. If it's on there, give it a couple of days, and then let us know if you haven't received an alert.

To All Score Watch Subscribers,

We are currently experiencing an issue with the delivery of Score Watch alerts to subscribers. As a result, alerts have not been sent out to any Score Watch subscribers for approximately the past 10 days. Equifax and myFICO have been working to resolve the situation and we expect a solution within the next couple of days.

If you believe you should have received an alert during this time but haven't, it may be due to this situation. Once resolved, all backlogged alerts will be sent out, so there's no need to notify myFICO that you may have been affected.

Updates will be provided here in the Forums as they become available. We regret this delay and very much appreciate your patience.

- Barry

I haven't received a score update since the 4th of July. Is this normal? From everything I've read i should be receiving updates about every 7-10 days. If I'm not going to receive updates then I'm just going to cancel my myfico account. Please let me know what's going on with this. I know that new things have been added since the 4th.

Thanks,

John Bell

It is normal if nothing is happening on your EQ report. Do you have any added accounts, inquiries, significant balance increases, account changes, etc.?

I looked into my history for this month and received 3 alerts. One was for an inquiry which came 1 day after apping with Penfed. And two were for balance increases on 2 of my CCs. Had I not app'd and had I PIF those 2 CCs like I should have then I wouldn't have received any alerts.

Barry,

I just received an alert that my score went down 23 points on a day that there were no alerts to my credit file. I pulled my Equifax report today in response to the alert, and nothing has changed. I've actually had a couple of revolving account balances DECREASE, one of which were paid off. No new accounts, no public record, no new collections, etc. What could be going on?

Since the date of your last EQ report was 9/30, before the score drop, we've added a free report to your Score Watch subscription so you can have an updated report to compare with that earlier report. Hopefully, you'll be able to see what caused the score drop. If not, reply back here and we'll see what we can find out.

Thank you for the free score power. I pulled the report and my amount of new credit went from "bad" to "not good", which is a plus. The only significant change that I saw that possibly would have lowered my score is that a revolving account that I opened back in 5/2009 went from a $0 balance (I never used it) to a blance of $46 with a limit of $250, which is a utilization of 19%, Could this have caused my score to go down?

The increase in utilization may have also had something to do with the score change, but I'd say the additional collection is probably the main culprit.

We've added a free report to your Score Watch account so you can pull a new EQ report through SW and see if it shows on the EQ-only report that's sent to myFICO. If it's on there, give it a couple of days, and then let us know if you haven't received an alert.

Hi, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong thread. Would I receive an alert if an account was deleted or an inquiry no longer hurt my score? Also, how often does Scorewatch check one's report? I signed up for the free trial on Sept 28, 2009.
Message Edited by cc29 on 10-12-2009 06:54 AM

Never mind. I read the Scorewatch Guide that was stickied at the top of the page. Thank You!

Message Edited by cc29 on 10-12-2009 07:03 AM

I did not receive any alerts from Sept 18 to Oct 18 despite my score changed 17 points which I discover only after I pulled a new report. This is not right since I set the alert for any balance change of more than 5%, on one of my card the balance went from $480 to $13 which is well more than 5%.
