Myfico.com Trial Period

Hi,

I have been using TC to monitor my FAKO's and it has been useful in letting me know what the CB's are reporting, but now I am thinking that I want to try out the 30 day trial period of MF.com to see what it is all about. My scores are rising but I don't want to make the full investment in the FICO until I have a full handle on the FAKO's. There are some minor things that I need to change on the FAKO's and it is cheaper to do that with TC than having a full subscription to MF.com.

The ad I saw for MF.com says you can cancel in 30 days but is that really true. Also, if I pull a score during the trial period, am I obligating myself to any charge if I decide to go ahead and cancel before the 30 day trial period expires.

Last question, is MF.com is anything like TC, meaning that if you try to cancel, they brow beat you until you decide to keep it.....??

Anything I need to know about this service or watch out for or maybe you just have suggestions????

Cancelling is VERY easy if you decide not to keep the product.

I think I waited too long to cancel. I wanted to cancel before the 30-day trial ended, and I knew that MyFICO said they would send me an e-mail a week before to remind me that my credit card would be charged. Well that e-mail never came, and no it wasn't filtered out by my spam blocker, because I check that every day. Now I realize that I pulled my first score on Aug 23, and today is Sept 22 meaning it's been 30 days today, and I can't call to cancel because you can only do so during business hours Mon-Fri or part of Saturday which is already past. What I want to know is why I didn't receive their email, is that something that has happened to many other people, and will I be obligated to now pay the 90$! Especially since they didn't live up to their end of the bargain by emailing me.

Well what do you know, today I actually received an email from Myfico telling me that my credit card has been billed $90!! And they told me how smart I was to join MyFico. I am furious. Why did I receive this email but not the email a week ago telling me they were about to charge my credit card? I am going to fight this. I want nothing to do with this product any longer. Has this happened to anyone else??

Just so you know even if you didn't get the email alerting you that your score watch trial period was ending you can still call in & cancel. You are always entitled to a refund but the sooner you call in & cancel from the time the trial ended the more of a refund you'll receive. Hope that was helpful.
