I figured I would post our progess so far. Keep in mind this is a combination of my wife and I both.

Starting Scores: March 1, 2010 Wife (EQ 515, TU 529) Mine (EQ 444, TU 493)

Current Scores: March 26, 2010 Wife (EQ 570, TU 592) Mine (EQ 516, TU 525)

I got all collections deleted except for accet acceptance as they refuse to delete. I am not sure what else to try so I think I have given up on that one, but here is a list of all we had sucess with GW and PFD.

WFNNB, Collections Inc, Williams & Fudge, IC System, AFNI, NCO, Account Services, First Financial, Pinnacle, Calvary Portfolio, NCA, and Cach LLC

Thanks so much for all of your help. There are still a few we are working on but OC are much more difficult to get deleted so most of these will stay on report until they fall off. All baddies will fall off by the end of 2012 with most coming off this year. We will then see a nice increase and should hit the 700's which is our goal before we purchase a home. We also still have 4 collections on each report now that were mentioned above, and will be deleted in the near future so hoping to get some more gains by end of April. We also opened 2 secured cards with our credit union and they did not do a hard pull so our utilization is going to be kept low.

One question we have is a Dell CO on my wifes account that shows a balance and is being figured into her utilization. It has not been sent to a collection company and we would like to take care of it before it gets to a CA. Its from 2006 and is past the SOL for the state of texas. It already shows as a CO so our questions is this, Is there any downfall to doing a settlement over paying in full. They have offered a settlement of 50% which would take that account out of her utilization figures. However we can pay in full now. Which choice should we take. Is there any incentive to paying in full as far as scoring goes? We mainly want it to show paid so it will not be figured in utilization any longer. Thanks for your time and sorry for the long post. Have a great day

Those are impressive score jumps in such a short time. Congrats.

I would keep sending that CA letters. Find different people to send them to. Don't give up.

I would hesitate on settling as it will hurt your score. It will update your account and show settled for less. Even if you PIF it will do the same thing. The good thing would be the money owed would no longer be included in your utilization.

Have you tried talking to Dell? See if you PIF will they either remove the TL or all negative annotations.

Perhaps trying at PIF and requesting goodwill towards the updating of your status. If they could update the status to read Paid, Pays as Agreed that would be awesome. It's if they get payment and update as payment after charge off your scores will still hurt. Try to negotiate for an adjustment as far as the lates and what status you will be left at when it's said and done. Hope that helps.

And Congrats!!

Im new to this forum and I have really learned soooo much about taking control of your credit score. Im forever grateful. In reference to some of the CAs you mentioned, I have paid not being familiar with PFD. Im gonna send out GW letters starting this weekend and I wanted to see if you had any helpful info or contacts on these CAs. Thanks in advance.

WFNNB, NCO, NCA
