Got an 80 pt bump in my score with TU. Only took the BBB, Indiana Attorney General, two green certified card mailings, and the threat of a small claims suit to do it. Persistance pays off I've been working with this since October of last year... FREEDOM!

Wow that is really great. It must feel good to come as far as you have with your credit score. Do you have any other posts on here as to how you did it? It must take a lot of patience. I am finding that out. I am trying to get my score up. I am a 565, 545, 567. How long did it take you?

I'd say about three years, I started by getting one of those cc for people with bad credit ie: credit one bank. Then I took a serious look at my CR and mailed letter after letter to those creditors that would be sticking around for awhile. Got PFD on some of the baddies, the last of my baddies dropped off a year and a half ago so a year ago I was able to get more credit (Best Buy, Target, Home Depot, Travelocity Visa) I make sure to use credit sparingly and pay off before statement cuts, this shows use but keeps my util low. Everytime an old baddie tries to sell and re-report I'm on top of my report, ie: Santander. I subscribe to both score watch and FICO quarterly monitoring. I figure I'll have a nice jump next month when all my new credit has gotten to it's first anniversary. Takes a lot of time and a lot of patience but in the end it's worth it.

And yes it feels GREAT!!
