unsure of how to proceed with Collection

I have the following Collection on my report. It's for $67. I have no idea what it is for, or how to contest it, as the original debt is not even listed.

It's been on here since at least 2005, and is greatly affecting my score. I've disputed it in the past, and it just keeps popping back up with a later date.

(bought/sold I assume)

Anyone have ideas on how I can proceed? or how to even identify the original debt to address it?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I don't know where you got this report but many sites don't have the full reports like you get for free at annualcreditreport.com. Pull your reports there and see if the OC (Original Creditor) and/or the CA (Collection Agency) are listed.

From a BK years ago to:

9/09 EX pulled by lender 802
3/10 EQ- 800
4/10 TU -772

That "y" in the masked CA is indication that it's probably medical. There should be more info on your actual report from the credit bureau. Once you get it, if the OC info is included, contact them.

Once you get your reports from the sight Marine provided, do not do anything until you know the DoFD and your states SOL.
