Is his middle name "Fico" by per chance? Congrats!!

I too still have AFNI. In my case, their balance is less than the actual balance owed to the OC, so I'm not going to fight their non-validation. But if I were I'd consider to do the following:

I'd DV again.

I would look up licensing info in their state and mine, if applicable.

Since the balances don't match in my case, and for sure they never contacted the OC, then I'd dispute each CRA.

Contact the BBB

Send copies of everything and bring up the issue with the FTC.

I'd contact any applicable agency within my state.

I'd contact our equivalent of our AG.

I would get in touch with any consumer agency within our county or city - there's one where I live.

Then I would hire a consumer attorney and use his/her writing skills

Worst case, I'd use the media.

If all else fails, then I'd start the process all over again. Something's gotta give before this point.

AFNI update

Well after all the DVing and BBB and FTC stuff, poor me still has AFNI on my report. It seems they have won. I have no way to prove this isn't my account and neither do they as far as I'm concerned. It is their word against mine. They even update on 5/28/08. I figure I can wait until 8/09 when it's due to fall off my report. I don't think I'll ever send another DV again. My GW to West Assest Management went unanswered also, all 3 of them. For a funky $153 paid bellsouth account. On a lighter note, I gave birth to a beautiful son on May 30. His name is Elijah. Now I have two wonderful children, a great husband, and credit that will get greater later. Thanx MYfico friend.
