Fingers crossed on Verizon Wireless...

Thanks to a fellow MyFICO'er, I shot an email to a Verizon exec on Friday afternoon, pleading for help on resolving a charge-off that I was wholly unaware of. I offered a PFD via email. This morning, I received a note from an assistant to the exec team thanking me for my email, and asking that I let them know the mobile number and account number so a member of their team could assist me.

Could this be the light at the end of the tunnel? I'm afraid to get my hopes up. Fingers crossed!

I hope this works for you! My situation with Verizon Wireless was a little different...I paid the bill before it was sent to collections, but it was on my report as a charge-off. I fought with them for a long time (2 or 3 years) before I found this site. I sent my complaint via Planet Feedback and within a day I received the exact same email as you have. I sent them the information and never heard anything back. I pulled my credit report 2 weeks after the email and Verizon was gone!!!!

Hey Barlow, congrats! I found they were really quick to respond as well. Once the exec office agreed to PFD, it was gone less than a week after I paid.

Can you also PM the info I have an account that was charged off in 2008 but I have never had interruppted service with Verizon and still have Verizon to this day, and no one will help me get this resloved they keep sending me to the collection agency who are no help

I had the same thing happen.. I had paid it and requested a GW deletion and emailed it.. Somone contacted me and said that they wouldn't delete it unless i could prove that there was a mistake on their end. If anyone has a different way of contacting them for GW I'd sure like to know it because right now, its stuck on there as a paid charge off. Sigh... April
