Macy's- Currently looking into removing all lates

Chase- Denied me 2-3 times

Kay Jewelers- Denied

Local Credit Union-Denied

Walmart- Currently looking into it

Capital One Acct #1- Removed all lates

Capital One Acct#2- Lates still remain (just havent been updated i guess?)

No matter the outcome gotta keep on pluggin away!

Hi Schoolbuskid,

Nice work on getting the lates removed on that Capital One. Did you just email or did you send letters as well? I sent an email and got denied and have sent some letters in the mail and have not got a response. I am wondering how many times it took to finally get them removed.

Sheadogg,

I use the backdoor number found here and spoke with an Account Specialist. She disputed the account for me as a hardship, she did not guarantee that the lates would be removed but notified me that it could take 60 to 90 days for the bureaus to update.

Updates:

Macys- Contacted them to day they obviously forgot to send out the initial letter(protocol), lady said they were sending another letter out today, i dont have a good feeling about this. Its so silly they we cant just communicate through email or telephone contact.

Chase- waiting for the 1 month mark to send again. ( they've got a hit on me)

Kay Jewelers- waiting for the 1 month mark (they dont budge at all)

Local Credit Union- Sent them another letter last week or so, they havent responded (they're giving me the silent treatment)

Walmart-Received a letter today stating they were investigating my inquiry should receive letter soon.

Capital One Acct# 2- Lates were never removed, will try calling Account Specialist again.

If i was in a position of power to to help someone in a powerful way such as this i wouldnt hesitate, just my 2 cents.

Hi Schoolbuskid

I got a letter from GEMB saying they sent a request to delete my lates and they're still there from two months ago.

How long did it take for your CapitolOne#1 lates to get deleted I wonder? Maybe sometimes it takes 90 days?

Within 2 days of calling cap one they had the lates removed. It hardly ever takes the full 90 days.

Capital One Acct 2- They finally deleted the lates as, i received the letter in the mail today!

Local credit union denied my request again, they also noted how many times i have asked for a deletion of lates. They have the same story we must keep our committments to the credit bureuas...etc.

Will keep trying, just dont know if its worth, dealing with the same person each and every time...I do have email to the pres/ceo, he has been copied on the email..so he is in the loop.

Well spoke with local credit union again, i spoke with the VP himself, and still they are not going to be able remove the lates. They are firm on their policy, he asked if the policy could be changed and who ever is higher up than he is declined. DANG! I'm not going to try anymore. Just wait it out until 2017!

GEMB- Declined as of 5/18

Macy's- Waiting to hear from them

Chase- will not remove lates but will delete account once paid in ful ( hate to lose the history)

Forgot to mention that 2 lates were added back to Cap One Acct #2. Will investigate soon.

Macys- They are out to get me- Emailed them yesterday, for like the 5-6 time. Got a call soon after email was received, from a lady that spoke with me previously. Basically said that they will not be removing the lates or deleting the account. She said that i could continue to email them, but this is the last time they are responding to it. "BUMMER"

So i call the backdoor number listed here, to see if they could help me out somehow. Well the rep came back and said that there were notes on the account showing where i had attempt to have lates removed, and said that there was no reason to remove the lates..

They had me heated...freaking executives making there hundreds of thousands, but cant help us with something as simple as removing lates or deleting accounts. They say that must abide by the FCRA....blah blah blah!!!

Should i keep sending GW letters? Just dont seem like its worth it.

The key is persistence. If GW's don't work, you may want to try going the dispute route. The key to this whole thing is persistence. Sooner or later one of you will blink. What I would do is stop calling and write a letter and dispute using the dispute process. If you are determined to call, ask to speak with a supervisor. Remember, alway keep your cool. If requesting a supervisor gets you know where, ask to that persons supervisor and so on.

Slow and steady wins the race. In the end, you'll get more flys with honey than vinegar but, if you give up, you'll get nothing. Just my .02 Good luck

I wouldn't get heated. Getting heated does nothing. The CEOs and Executives are making all kinds of huge money, but why should they feel obligated to help you out? We all know the stories, we all have similar ones. Don't take it personally. They ARE right, you did make these late payments. It's their perogative.

Ignore what they say, and keep trying. You're doing the right things. But you cannot started getting upset because no one is obligated to help you, whether it is a $12 dollar an hour Rep, or a $1 million a year CEO.

For what it is worth, turnover happens in business all the time. Maybe take a few month break with those frustrating accounts and then start fresh. I did that with EOS-CCA and within one week its gone. And that was after 8 freaking months of crap haha

Yea you are right...like you say it is frustrating.
