My score jumped 15 points today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now at 624. She said if we got to 620 we would get the loan.

Last time I had a score jump I found it on Saturday morning, also.

IDK if it's from the collection being gone or the paydown of revolving ----- Don't have a new credit report and too broke to buy one (Spent all of our $ on the bills).

congrats Booner! in my experience, the jump is because of both things. i got a score increase myself when i got the collections off my report and Cap One reported my zero balance improving my util. my EQ FICO (haven't updated my TU FICO yet to see how much increase) jumped from about 25 pts because of those changes. i bet i would've jumped even higher if damn HSBC BBRZ MC would also report no balance on it.

Huh. I just realized that MYFICO only monitors a score on a weekly basis. All my score changes have been on Saturdays for the last 4 weeks. So I really don't know exactly what changed this score increase since I have 4 collections that I was able to GW to delete. It sucks that you can't monitor every day and get a new credit report when the score changes. I also use Credit Karma and there has been no score change over there. So now I'm just totally confused. Maybe it wasn't the AFNI delete after all. UGH. Thinking of going back to "freecreditscore" since that you can check every single day, report and FAKO score.

What do you guys do - for those of you in the rebuilding process that is, to know exactly what caused a score change?

Myfico says my score changed on a day when there were no credit report changes "Because delinquent accounts are not hurting your score as much."

When I get alerts like that with EQ and I notice it isnt the disputes I have filed I start looking at inquires. Did you have some to recently fall off?

Today I copied a HIPPA letter from the internet and sent it out certified to the 4 different medical facilities that sent me to collections that ultimately ended up being the judgment. I have now the collections AND the judgment on my credit reports. It's like I'm being double-dinged. I've sent 2 goodwills to the Collection Agency asking them to please remove the collections because they are now paid. No answer.

I'm freaked out that the collection agency and/or the medical facilities that I sent the certified letters to will retaliate against me in some way. (Like by updating the collections so they look more recent). They are all from 2005-2009. And they are all paid.

Also, got a collection letter from UNIQUE about a 2007 library book (I KNOW, don't say anything) for 42.00. The library said they just sent the letter because I updated my address with the library. I called the library , but wouldn't agree to pay for delete. I'm afraid to call UNIQUE to offer Pay for Delete in case they, too, will possibly update the date on the reports. It's like waking up a sleeping giant.

My score is over 620 and what if one of these things comes up and ruins me after I worked so hard to get it up? Does anyone else feel scared when sending out this stuff? Has anyone had a negative action/retaliation from sending out GW's, DV's, (threatening Hippa letters) etc?

Congrat Booner on your score increases. Not sure if Myfico Rocks on just Saturdays, but for me it did today. Got a nice little bump 10 pt increase. Gone up about 37 points in about 3 1/2 weeks. Decreased utilization, 1 baddie gone to dispute, and added some new credit. I'm looking to get closer to 650 before attempting to get a loan approval. Good luck on your approval. Keep us posted. That's strange since I get alerts anytime of the week. The alerts is sent once a change is indicated in your credit report or score.

I got an email today from myfico with no score alerts. I think the myfico system has a lag. I have been waiting for a score boost to come over but it's still nothing.

Booner, if you really want to know go for it. I have logged in and saw changes and never received an email from score watch. Pulled my report and my score had increased a lot. For me it was worth the $. GOOD LUCK!

Booner,

Something I learned from the score watch is to always make sure your score setting is the same as your current score. I change my setting to match the reported score anytime my score changes so I get alerts when they happen any day of the week. I have noticed Monday is when I have recieved most of my reports. Hope this is helpful.
