Just when I thought I was making progress...

I pulled my reports at tc to find that a judgement (albeit paid) has been entered and on my reports almost two years after the fact! (Groan....sniffle)

Seems I'll never get into the 700 club.

(Originally, I said three years, but the date on is 10/2006) just fyi (points-wise))

I don't know yet. I tried to pull them and there was 'system error'. (sigh)

Wasn't my day yesterday. LOL

My question is why now? Who instigated it being put on now? Is it just info the cra have come across from their sources?

The CA's have software like Scorewatch that alerts them when scores improve- and mortgage inq's

It is quite common for CA's and JDB's to come out of the woodwork while improving your credit.

How in the HELL is it legal for them to monitor OUR SSNs???

The doggone PHONE company, with whom I have an open account, in good standing, can't even access my account in their OWN database without asking my permission!!! WTH is going on here???

That article made me sicker than I was when I read the other one. It actually scared me. So anyone who claims to be a CA can have access to my whole life. This is so wrong. There has to be a way for us to protect ourselves. They can collect on a debt forever so they could literally become stalkers...

Put together a file, contact a lawyer (maybe we could find one to work on contingency??), contact the FTC? I'm not really sure, as my legal knowledge is mostly on the criminal side of things (my brother was a criminal & my mom worked for the DAs office for a number of years)

There's got to be info on ROR (NOT released on own recognizance) about suing these ba***rds! I'll check it out...
