Thanks for the advice Happy Days,

By the way the drop off date is October 2012 on her EX report.

TU and EQ are reporting correctly.

EX has been nothing but problems over this. I have sent numerous MOV letters and each and everytime I receive a form letter telling me to contact the data furnisher.

Some how I doubt this is how the law was supposed to work.

On another note I have three TL that have been re-aged on my EX report.

So I made a copy of an older EX report from 2006 and sent it in to EX demanding they delete.

After this response to my wife's issue I am certain that they (EX) will sent the same letter and response to me.

Message Edited by mainemedic on 07-11-2008 03:51 PM

My wife has a TL on her EX report that is incorrect. The DOFD should be 12/03 but EX has it as 10/05. I disputed this with EX before and it has come back verified. I then sent an OC letter to the OC and in return received some bills and statements from them that show the DOFD to be 12/03.

I made copies of these bill/statements and sent them into EX and today received a letter telling me that the account has already been verified and they will not do anything else. ARGH

Does anyone have any idea as to what my next step should be? If EX will not respond to actual proof that they have the DOFD wrong I do not know what else to do.

first look at your EX report....will remain on CR until month/year. This can only be found on a CR.

If you can't find it call and ask what the drop date is. IF it is in 2012...................file a complaint with www.ftc.gov

If 2012 is the CRTP date.........you would send a MOV letter to EX.......they usually send a form letter......then you would send an *ITS* letter and follow through by filing a lawsuit.

IMO you would never send an ITS letter unless you mean it!

You might also send the OC a letter tell them to correct it..............I would send a copy of your CR (only showing this OC)

send CMRRR to the FTC copy of old CR and new CR also any paper trail that you have with disputes. IMO you have enough for a lawsuit (but I am not a lawyer) You might want to start looking for 1........you must file in federal court!!!
