Current Status Charge Off reported every month

I am currently making payments to a credit card lender that defaulted and reported charge off in 2009. I notice that everytime I make my payment every month toward this account, the bank report to all CB that the the payment status as a charge off for that paymetn month.

Please, comment on this situation. I have considered that if I had choose NOT to make any payment at all, then my credit file will be reporting only a charge off in 2009. But now by making this monthly payments the bank is moving the charge off date.

Have anyone here found himsellf on this situation? I thought that a charge off account shall have no further reporting from the date that the account was initially charged off.

I'd suggest reading the following:

Common Abbreviations

Credit Scoring 101 - great for knowing what is in your credit score and to see how your score is impacted.

What Steps Do I Take - great for learning the repair process.

and Example letters - PFDs, GWs, DVs, etc.

It's reporting OK. Unfortunately, the lates can continue while CO'd up to the point it's paid or sold. In the other thread, a GW is the right response since it was paid. If yours is not paid off, then try offering a PFD letter on the remaining balance.
