Transunion site won't let me submt a dispute?

I am trying to submit a dispute with Transunion online, following the link from their site here.

I am able to login as per usual, but when I click the 'SUBMIT DISPUTE' button it just takes me to a page with a blurb about Transunion's commitment to maintaining accuracy. No option to actually fill out a dispute form or anything. I've clicked around and can't find anywhere to do this.

Any idea what's going on here?

Renata the same thing happened to me and when I called TU they advised it was because there was already an opened onlline dispute. You cannot have more than one online dispute. However, I was able to call and submit my dispute that way.

Just forget about the CRA entirely.

File your dispute directly with the party who furnished the disputed information to the CRA. Your direct dispute wont be touched by the CRA, and will go directly to the party with whom you have the dispute.

FYI guys, TU website was undergoing difficulty this weekend. I was in a similar boat with my TrueCredit membership -- I contacted tech support and they indicated that some storms knocked out a data center.

I bet if you try again Tuesday you will be fine.

Confused here... I didn't mention what kind of a dispute I needed to make. Do you mean TU is just unresponsive to disputes in general?

I was hoping to correct some personal info via an online dispute. Should I not even bother trying?

If so, I've been getting this for a while. I've tried every computer in my house and my computer at work and I get the same issue. I can't go anywhere to submit my dispute.

I always make my CRA disputes by mail and never online.

The only problem I see using online disputes is that they will have up to 45 days to either verify the TL or delete. If you do it by mail, then they only have 30 days.

I tend to be a bit more militant with my credit repair. :-)

Wow, do you work for Transunion or something? This is quite possibly the WORST advice ever. If you have a dispute, FILE DIRECTLY THROUGH THE CREDIT BUREAUS. The law states that if they cannot provide proof that the information on your credit report is accurate, they must delete what you dispute. There is no law regarding disputes with individual creditors.

If you're trying to remove something off your credit report, always go directly to the source - the 3 main bureaus.

It's not the worst advice ever. The credit bureaus use an automated system and have to process disputes in like 4 minutes or less, and even if you send in LEGITIMATE DOCUMENTATION that the debt isn't yours, they just throw it away - they don't send it on to the reporting party. They also re-report info and then it's worse than it was in the first place. I think the only time disputes work with the CRA's is if you luck out and they just delete it instead of doing a proper investigation.

Example: I had disputed an old old collection that should be off my reports now. Well, EX 'verified" and now it says it was "included in bankruptcy filed 10/24/2011". The CA said on the phone yesterday it should fall off 12/2/2011 and they swear they didn't give that info to EX. So I spent an hour on the phone yesterday trying to get this fixed. I SHOULD have just disputed to the CA directly.

ANOTHER Example: I have a TON of paid medical collections reporting that are my husband's. They are NOT MINE. The CA hates me and won't remove even though I've disputed directly, filed BBB complaints, etc. I finally sent in a statement from the CA I had from years back that proves the collection accounts belong to DH. EX wrote me a letter saying that they cant use my information. WHAT!! EQ is still processing these disputes, and they continue email me requesting I fax my DL, SSN etc even though I have faxed it three times already.

The CRA's are out to make money from businesses by selling our information. We are just annoyances and they don't give one single crap if they are reporting wrong information.

PS: There is a law that we have a right to file direct disputes with the reporting party. The law came into effect after everyone found out how screwed we get when we try to dispute with the CRA's.

I know if you already have disputes in you have to wait for them to be resolved

before filing another dispute with TU.

It now 2014 and it still doesnt work. I called in my disputes.

The crazy thing is that it allows you to enter all of your information but when you hit the sumbit button it does not work WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON

Actally calling in wwas easy too. I just like to see the results instantly online.

Does anyone know what the problem is???
