Greetings all. First post but have been an avid follower for years. BOA just hit me with a 31-60 day update on my CR. Score took a major hit. Dropped 40 pts. This was a complete oversight on my part. Is there any advice on a GW letter or call that I should make to see if the would delete the derog or update the payment status? So bummed. Any help would be great. Happy New Year!!

Have you tried calling? If it's a new mistake, not too late, and the account is in good standing they may do a one time adjustment.

I basically put due and closing dates on a calendar. This lets me keep on time, control over balances reporting. I worry about the effect of utilization and tend to pay before closing dates.

My Chase, Citi, and USAA cards have a feature that sends account alerts. Possibly BoA offers this.

Great point. I will set up alerts with BOA so this never happens again. Still freaking out .

Good luck ! BoA is notorious for not accepting GW, but since it was a one~time slip up maybe they will this time. Let us know what happens !

If someone has an email or regular mail address for a BOA GW contact, I'd be interested in receiving a PM with it as well and would much appreciate it.

It's not a recent slip-up in my case, and I think my old late falls off from a scoring perspective in another six months anyway, but I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to try anyway.
