Does anyone have experience with Southwest Recovery Systems? They have a collection on my report from a year and a half ago. Original creditor is listed as VRMI. I have no idea what this is.

Thanks, Esme. I've been rebuilding for about 2 years now - so I know there shouldn't have been any baddies on my report for at least 3 years and I have no idea who the OC is. I can't even find anything if I Google them.

haha - yep. I used to live at the Gables off MacArthur. Started using this back then and it just stuck.

Hello all - I'm in the same situation as the OP here...

I had some payday loans that I paid off, but this one popped up. I don't remember ever getting a letter from them, nor a phone call. I could be mistaken, but I don't own any payday loans.

I also have no clue who VRMI is as a creditor. I'm going through and getting rid of all my bad debts (paying them off), and I checked my report and this thing pops up.

I disputed it with the credit bureau, but I want to get all my I's dotted and t's crossed and be ready to go to battle (or at least give my attorney the ammo).

How did you guys get it resolved?

UPDATE - I disputed this with the credit bureau late on Friday and got an answer back on early Saturday that it was accurate. That didn't work so well....

Thoughts on next steps, folks?
