After the last payment is processed I'd either call or email a GW letter asking them to remove it (as long as each payment was made on time).

RJM PFD already in arrangements

Ok so last January I got 2 letters from RJM for two banks that I overdrew from (wachovia and WAMU). They offered settlements and monthly payments and I chose the automatic payments of $10 per month for both accounts. A year later the balances are paid down and I am a little bit more informed about the Collection process and now I know that even if you pay off a CA account they dont have to delete the account. So my question is do you think I can call RJM and cancel the monthly payment agreement in exchange for paying the remainding balance for one account and half of the other in exchange for a deletion or is it too late to request this because I am already paying on it?

If you entered into an agreement with them, and breach it, you are yelling "sue me!"

Why would they agree to less favorable terms (i.e., having to do a CR deletlion that may be against their policy) when you have binding negotiated terms with them?

Not something I would consider. Pay it, and send a GW plea.

I think a GW might be very successful with them. Good luck!

The agreement we have is not binding. I just called and gave them permission to run my card for the same amount every month. I never signed anything.

You don't have to sign anythign to have a binding agreement. You made a verbal agreement authorizing them to charge your credit card monthly. They most likely have this recorded, but even if they don't, the payment history should be plenty for them to validate your agreement. As others have said, definitely just pay it off then send a GW request for deletion. Good luck!
