Chase denied GW

Newbie here. THought I would try anything to help clean up my credit. Paid off auto loan 12/2011. Have two 30 day lates from 2/2010 and 12/2010. When I requested Chase to do the GW, they sent me back the denial saying "In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act), payments are reported by Chase Auto Finance to the Credit Reporting Agencies as they are actually received. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate your request to amend the reported payment history as it accurately reflects the payments received by Chase." Okay..so being new to the idea of doing this, I may have done something wrong. Or maybe talking to small fish, when I need the head shark? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome! I always thought that once they were there, we could do nothing. But as I read on here, to do nothing will change nothing! I need changes!!

Good afternoon, if you get this message can you please PM me any suggestions. I too am in the same situation.....2 Chase late payments 10/2010 and12/2010. I would really appreciate your suggestion.

Your debt is too new. They won't change your lates. They have to report correct information. Hence if they are reporting that you have a credit card account, they have to post correct info on it. They will not go back & change it. There are a lot of people on here where Chase stopped reporting the debt to the credit bureau after the statue of limitation was up. So, their GW letters worked. Your debt is still fresh, so they will not just change those late payments to "OK".
