I am really confused. I currently pay for the USAA credit monitoring service and in a little confused as to why there's a 120 point difference between my EQ and EX scores. I'm not including TU in the comparison because I have a collection on EQ and EX and not on TU.

So my credit report is identical on EQ and EX with the exception of hard inquiries. My EX has 7, all within the last year and my EQ has 2 that are over a year old. My EQ score is 575 and my EX score is 695... Why such a big difference if the reports are pretty much identical? Shouldn't my EX be lower considering it has a lot more inqs?

I have a huge discrepancy between my scores too. Not sure why. I figure since they're all FAKOs, it doesn't really matter

yes they are FAKOS. However they are all one type of FAKOs, PLUS scores. For me, my USAA plus score are very close. 2 are the same and one is off by 2 points. you should take a very close detailed look at the two reports.

My USAA FAKO scores are identical across the three bureaus. Since all use the same methodology I would look carefully for reasons they vary between bureaus.

There is no correlation between FAKO and FICO scores...

Part of it may come from the way different lenders/CAs are reporting to the different bureaus. For example, I had one paid collection. It appeared on all 3 reports. However, the CA reported it as a delinquent account to EX and EQ, but as a collection to TU. There was no way to know that from the info USAA provided. It wasn't until I pulled my annual reports that I saw the code difference.

Part of it may be that the dates and data for each item are slightly different from agency to agency. My student loans are all in deferral, but TU treats deferred loans differently than EQ, who in turn treats them differently than EX. As a result, my AAoA ranges from 6 years 10 mos on EQ to 5 years 4 mos on TU, with EX in the middle.

My problem with the USAA credit reports is that they are not very granular. It is hard to tell what is different between the different agencies and which is correct. My guess is that some combination of what I've listed accounts for your differences.

FYI, the information on my EQ report from USAA and my EQ report from MyFico are vastly different and both were different from my annual report from EQ.
