Their word is never their bond. I would mail them a DV letter though. Very likely DirectTV owns the debt and they assigned it to FNCB to collect. So send a DV and wait. At the same time, call DirectTV and ask for the last couple of bills so they can demonstrate the balance owed. If the CA verifies and you agree with DirectTV, then you can modify a PFD letter with a gist of "I'll pay $x in exchange for not reporting". You're not there yet, but something to think about.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
