My comcast account went to collections in 2007, I paid Comcast not the collection company. The collection company is reporting a $0 balance account paid in full. Is there anything I can do to remove this. I have tried to dispute it but it comes back as a valid account everytime.

I had a collection company for Comcast that I got deleted through GW, if its the same I will share the contact with you.

-scott

I'd like to also point out:

The collection company most likely still got their commission even if you paid the OC (per most contracts they have with OCs) so they probably ended up making money anyway, so maybe open to a deletion.

If they DIDN'T though, you will have a big uphill battle

-scott

I had an account w/Comcast that went to collections, I thought I might have a contact for you but it was a different CA. . But as others have said the only thing you can do now is send GW letters. You should try to search for company execs online and contact them w/your request.
