    <description>&lt;P&gt;They've sent letters before, so I guess that means this wasn't timely. &amp;nbsp;I just thought they had to stop collection efforts until they validated it if you sent a DV. &amp;nbsp;Thanks for the response. &amp;nbsp;The DOLA was for the cap one that caused it was 9/2006, so it's really old.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If I sent a DV to a CA, are they allowed to increase the balance before validating the debt? They signed for the DV on 5/21 and increased the balance $2 on 5/30 and another $2 on 6/9 and I haven't received anything from them regarding my DV.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Aren't they required to stop trying to collect after DV? If that's the case, how are they able to raise the balance after a DV?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If they sent you a dunning notification and you didn't respond previously, or this response wasn't considered timely,&amp;nbsp; there is nothing to keep them from continuing to collect and not respond to your DV.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-scott&lt;/P&gt;</description>
