Thank you for quick response. I just noticed that an offer came from some company called NES of Ohio and they are collecting on behalf of Pinnacle Credit Services LLC which purchased debt from OC HSBC. I am affraid that i will end up somebody 360$ and still have Pinnacle come after me for rest of the money

Any thoughts??

Thank you

Counter with an offer to accept their settlement provided they additionally agree to CR deletion.

If they wont agree to that, then I would again counter with an offer to accept the settlement provided they dont report the additional special comment of "paid for less" to the CRA. That will make the account look the same in your CR as if it were paid in full.

Get, as written part of any agreement, a statement from whomever accepts payment, be it the credtior or the debt collector, that payment of the agreed amount constitutes full legal satisfaction of the debt.
