Over the weekend, I had 3 new baddies pop up on my TU report. They're 3 collections - 1 for $78, and 2 for $150.

I believe that they are mine and were incurred for hospital services a few years ago - a hospital that was my current employer at that time. It was my understanding then that the fees would be deducted from my paycheck - apparently this didn't happen.

So no longer employed there, but maintaining a good relationship with their billing department over the years - I gave them a call. The hospital said that they would pull the collections back into their system and away from Credit Solutions. So I paid them over the phone with them, the original creditor.

Next, I made the mistake of contacting the CA via phone. They were rude and demanded $100 more than the $377 I've alrady paid. She said they were unpaid and the would be on my TU report until I paid. I advised her that the debt had been settled with the original creditor and I was putting them on notice. I attempted to explain to her that I talked directly with the hospital, and they confirmed the amount owed.

I DV'd them and also reported them to the BBB and FTC - although I doubt either will do any good.

So I called TU customer service to open a dispute if necessary on the amounts reported by the CA, since they're paid. TU said they showed no tradeline items from Credit Solutions, LLC or any company with a similar name. Could they have been removed that quickly? I have confirmed that TU was where they were reported.

If I get a response from the DV letter, I'm sure it will be interesting..

Any thoughts?

Interesting to note that I received a call and voicemail from a "manager" with Credit Sollutions, LLC.

She only mentioned that they had received some communications from me and wanted to let me know that everything was "straightened out"/taken care of. She said if I needed anything to call her.

So I did.

First time I called, she was suspiciously away from her desk (about 2 minutes after her intial call) and I was told she would call me back.

So I waited anxiously to hear what she had to say.

I find it humorous that ALL of the CSRs for these CAs are not familiar in any way with our rights as a consumer. In fact, when you start stating laws, and statutes, FCRA - they grow quite intimidated. In a previous conversation with this company, the CSR screamed, "What are you? Some kind of lawyer?" before hanging up on me.

Obviously my concern is that the CA remove their entries on my credit reports since the debt has been PIF with the OC. I know there is always some lag time - seems like entries go on your CR a lot quicker than they come off.

Not only had I DV'd them, I also filed complaints with the BBB & FTC.

When I finally talked with the manager she was very apologetic and had already replied to my BBB complaint even though I haven't received it. She said that TU was a pain to deal with but they had already requested removal, and it would be quicker if I disputed them online - which I had already done.

She said she would be logging into her TU kiosk and getting the entries deleted immediately.

We shall see.
