A PFD is a contract offer. You need to have acceptance by the other party prior to completion of any contract.

Include in the PFD your terms for payment, such as providing certified funds within x-days of acceptance, but do not include the funds with the PFD.

That could lead to their simple deposit of the funds without acceptance of your condition to delete, bringing up a world of legal hassle.

I figured that was the case. I was confused because I was like they can say they will PFD on the phone and then not do it and I paid them, and if I sent a check with the PFD letter then they can just cash it...so when I send the PFD someone should contact me from the creditor right?
