Just fyi, I've been communicating with a really nice rep in the executive offices, She said they are debating changing their policies regarding goodwill adjustments for old charge offs that have been sold to CA's. I have two from 2008/2009. Hopefully they will be deleting those tradelines. I will keep you guys updated. <fingers crossed>

I got a HSBC charge off removed with a GW blitz... sent letters to 10+ different HSBC offices... haha

Was this Capital One executive offices or legacy HSBC people?

Interesing thread. I was speaking with the the HSBC executive office just a few weeks ago as they looked into an old account for me. Very low $$ balance on a sock drawer card that was mistakenly not paid 5 or 6 years ago - CO'd before I knew it. I was told no after about 3 weeks of "investigation."

It was HSBC. I actually sent an email to the president of Cap 1. A few days later I received an email from Orchard Bank customer care with a px.

Bahbahd, the rep told me my they usually don't do goodwill adjustments for charge-offs, but they possibly will be changing that because alot of those accounts have been sold multiple times and they don't keep track of who owns it. She also said my request was initially denied but its under review again. Time also factors into it.

I currently have a CAP1 card in good standing. I think I might try and message the President and see if I have any luck getting the HSBC TL removed. Could you PM me the email address or any other contact info you have? Thanks in advance.

Azumi, I just noticed that the last voice mail message I got from the executive offices actually said "Hi, this is XXX from CapitalOne Executive Office" but they called me from the same number as before when they were HSCB. Thoughts on this? If you feel so inclined, PM me the name of who you were talking to and I'll PM you back. I was looking for their office mailing address so I could send a letter directly to their office. If you have their address already, please share so I can compare it to what I have.

I had an old c/o with HSBC that happened in 2006. It DISAPPEARED from EQ (still shows on other two, tho) and then I was pre-approved for a Household card. I thought that was weird especially since EQ was the CRA Household softed and eventually did the hard pull on.

I don't really know when it disappeared since I wasn't really monitoring my credit then (I'd gotten the new card in Feb of this year.)...I just know it was there when I had last checked my report in 2010-2011 sometime.

Has that happened to anyone?

My bad, I was actually talking to Cap One exec and the its the same px that is listed in the Credit Card sticky w/backdoor numbers for HSBC executive resolution unit.

Great news everyone! I received a call last night from the exec offices, and they will be deleting both charge/off accounts from my credit reports.
