Debt Validation Workflow Chart

I have a link for an excellent, easy to use DV workflow chart I found while looking through whychat's site. I believe it is for non-medical debts....this flowchart has made it easier for me to follow the procedures for non-medical accounts that have been placed for collection.

If anyone would like the link pm me and post a reply here. I will get it to you right away. The chart is printable.

After you view the chart come back and let others know what you think about it!!!

I know all colIections/error/etc don't fall into a simple workflow. However if we could develop workflow charts like this for simple medical/non-medical/OC/CA it would help alot.

I would ver much like to see the workflow. I've been searching the boards for an easy to follow letter/steps to start the process of cleaning up credit. Thanks!

It is simple, if you are ready to tackle repair, and you have the $$$ to PIF, if it ever came to that, then start by DVing each CA. If they validate to your liking, then offer a PFD for removal.

Per OCs, if you agree that you had an account with them, then offer a PFD.

Following this simple process, between DW and myself, we removed about 6-8 CAs, about 4-6 CO accounts, and we just have one CA each left and one CO each left, excluding one paid CO on DW's. My scores peak at an increase of 160 pts on avg (dropped since due to util and new credit) and DW's increase by 120-150 points and has stayed steady in the upper 600s. We just used the letters in here, and tweak a few things as needed.

Another mod, Sidewinder, has already posted a warning about not posting links to credit repair sites...the SAME goes for PMs. We are watching and reading!

Now back to the topic on hand, what the OP is referring to is the 1-2 punch. A DV to the CA and dispute with the CRA. I'll see about pinning a thread on this topic.

I really wish we could design our own flow chart and sticky it. It is really a good way to explain the work flow to newbies. I have referred to the chart numerous times and it seems to clear the "fog" for me!

I know what flowchart you are talking about. Speaking from personal experience, it is a bad idea. When I first started repair, I followed the chart to a "T". Without going into what I did, DW's and my CRs suffered irrepairable damage, including harm to our scores. For anyone reading this (and this thread may go away real soon), I'd caution you otherwise on using and following the worksheet.

I agree with Ilecs. I don't agree on doing a simultaneous DV and dispute..I learned the hard way months ago while helping a family member. It's always better to DV the CA first and see if they can validate, if they can't great, dispute time. If they do validate consider a PFD.

The problem with disputing to early is that the CA can sit back and laugh at you while you are expected to provide proof to the them to back-up your dispute with CRAs. Sort of like you validating your own debt...that's really bad. With a stand alone DV, the burden is entirely on the CA to validate, and without your assistance.

Okay, that is real good advice. Other than the point(s) mentioned do you think the workflow chart is handy in understanding the overall process.

I will be sure to tell everyone to go back and read this thread in it's entirety before doing any credit repair work using the workflow chart. How does that sound to you Ilecs and fused???? If you have any other suggestions on the chart, please let us know, so we can follow your advice.

I just thought the chart should the workflow clearly, once you get past the initial steps you both have pointed out.

That would be FABULOUS. A picture is definitely worth 1,000 words to those of us who are visual.
