It appears Anderson Fin. sold my account to another collection agency and now the new collection agency is reporting the collections too - can they do this - two collection agency on my report for the same bill? Oh yea, this second reporting drop my score by 33 point OMG.

Nope. Only one OC and one CA for each account can report.

DV them both. But if the debt's still within SoL, be prepared to pay if DVing wakes the "sleeping giant!"

After DVing them both (thus finding out who actually has legal right to collect -- AND the other CA is deleted, of course!), if you're OUT of SoL, PFD the one reporting!!

If this is a medical debt, read the link in my signature regarding medical debts.

If not a medical debt, then what is SOL? Is SOL expired? Can you PIF?
