Springstone/Comenity Loan

Hi All,

Last month I was unfortunate enough to have to take out a loan for some emergency dental work. I was told that they would do a HP to determine how much they would cover. However, to date, I have not seen a HP, nor has the account shown up on any of my CRs. I have Scorewatch through myFICO as well as a couple of other sights that give FAKOs(?) but nothing is showing up in either place. I have now been billed, and paid, for two monthly installments. Does anyone have any experience with Springstone Patient Financing or Comenity Bank to know if they will appear on my CRs? I was curious to see how much this might ding me or potentially help me as all I currently have that is active is a cc and a student loan. Any ideas?

I have never dealt with them but if you just took out the loan last month they may not have reported to the CRAs yet.

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered my EX report/score from myFICO and lo and behold, the Comenity TL is there. It does not appear on either of the other reports so far. Also, its appearance on my EX report coincided with a small CS increase, which I am happy about. What I am not so happy about is that it is appearing as a Retail Clothing CC for some strange reason. Would it be worth it to dispute the TL for for the type indicator since retail cards are looked on poorly? Or should I just leave it be?
