Ok thanks! I had the letter typed up and ready to mail last week when the dispute came back verified. But I got a myfico alert for another account being updated and then I realized this account had been removed. I think I will go ahead with the DV and see what happens next. Thanks again!

I had an account appear with Northern Resolution Group. I never received any paperwork regarding this debt and I DO NOT feel it is mine. I disputed it as it was on all 3 credit reports and they all came back verified. However, I checked today and they are all gone. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I just don't want this mysterious account reappearing. Not sure if I should let it be or DV with Northern Resolution Group???

It wont hurt to send a DV.

It wll give them another hoop to jump thru should they attempt reinsertion by invoking an cease collection bar upon them until such time as they provide the requested validation. If they are no longer authorized to collection on the debt, which might be the reason for their deletion, they would simply ignore it as moot.

Be aware that if they deleted while under a dispute, NO debt collector can have a collection reinserted without complying with the reinsertion requirements of the FCRA applicable to information deleted as a result of lack of verification in a dispute.

They would first have to provide pre-verification to the CRA before the CRA could reinsert, and the CRA would have to send written notification of their reinsertion.

So they cant sneek one in.
