EQ says: Account paid for less than full balance.

EX says: Account legally paid in full for less than full balance.

TU says: Closed. Settled less than full balance.

So do I ask Cap One to pardon it since they now own HSBC/HF??

I had an account with Household Finance (The Devil). It was opened 12/05 and I made them an offer to compromise and they accepted on 10/09. Is this still causing my CS any pain? If so, how much longer will it continue to do so?

I heard that Cap One bought them out. They are working with me on a GW email I sent to the CEO for a single 30 day late payment back in September. One of of 20 months. A nice young lady called from the Executive Office sayoing that she would do all she can to have it erased and that if there were anything else to not hesitate to call and she gave me her hours and direct phone number. So I need to know if this is hurting my score before I ask her to pull that off too.

Please advise and thanks in advance...

Are you saying you settled with them? How is it showing on your CR?

If it says settled for less than full amount it is hurting.

I believe HSBC still handles them even though Cap one bought them.

Are you talking about a GW letter to have them removed?
