Is it too late for me to take care of the balance to prevent this from being placed on my credit reports? I can pay it in full. Just don't want any setbacks with my credit.

What did you receive, a notice that they have filed an action, or an actual notice that trial has concluded, and they were awarded a judgment?

If an acutal judgment has been awarded, were you ever served notice of the date of trial, or asked to respond to their action?

Does anybody know when it might show up on my report? Does it have to be rewarded first? I'm paying it tomorrow but don't want even a paid judgement to show up on my reports.

Thank you!

If in fact a judgment has been entered against you and you were never properly served or knew about a court date, you can probably get the judgment vacated. You would need to see what documentation the clerk has.

Maybe more info will help. The letter said a judgement was filed because court fees from my divorce haven't been paid in full. No court date, just a judgement filed. It listed the amount owed but didn't ask for payment or anything.

Well that is different because a court can enter judgment on you without filing an action first. Who is the letter from?

The letter is from the court. It said a judgement has been filed and why. Will it report to the credit bureaus? No request for payment or anything was on there.

Courts do not report. The credit bureaus send people to the courts to look for new judgments. When and if that will happen, no one can say. You need to call the court first thing in the morning and see what's going on.

Ok so I just got off the phone with the court. A judgement had been granted for the fees on Feb 19. I paid in full and the clerk said she would do a satisfaction of judgement??? I just want to know will it be on my report even after I've paid in full? What will happen to my score?

Since the courts do not actulally enter a judgment on your CR it is hard to say whether it will show up or not. The CRAs hire other companies to come in and gather that information, then it is reported.

I have seen some never get reported. But, if it does, it can adversely affect you.

Check with your state laws about getting it vacated if that happens.
