I know that there are tons of posts here about NFCU love... but it is finally my turn to chime in. My husband joined NFCU 2 weeks ago. We logged in today and saw there was an offer for a credit card. We didn't think he'd be approved as he is still in the rebuilding stage (FICO TU 652 FICO EQ 586... several mortgage lates in the past 5 year and a CO and 5 unpaid collections (down from nine)). We were shocked when he was approved with a 6k limit!!! Almost brought us both to tears. Our highest CC limit is $750 from Capital One. We are still definitely cleaning up his reports but this has given us so much hope!!! Thank you myFICO! We never would have even thought of becoming members with NFCU without these forums.

I have never heard of NFCU.. are they known for giving big limits to people with limited history/ who are rebuilding? Do they have good rewards on their cards? What do you have to do to join?

NFCU is the best CU around. Very good about giving credit to lower scores with high limits. Check out their page to see if you qualify to get in.

If you're eligible for membership, it's a great CU....but do not EVER screw them.
